Dozora: Better Sleep ("the App") is developed and operated by Nexcode Studio ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe, transparent user experience. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application available on the Google Play Store. By installing or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
01 Information We Collect
We prioritize user privacy. The App is designed so that you can enjoy ambient sounds, sleep mixes, breathing exercises, and alarms without creating an account or providing personal identification information (PII).
A. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores certain data strictly on your device using local storage (SharedPreferences):
- Custom Sound Mixes: Names and sound combinations of custom mixes you save.
- App Preferences: Volume levels, selected sleep timer durations, onboarding status, and app configuration settings.
- Local Alarms: Alarm schedules and preferences created within the App.
Locally stored data remains on your physical device and is never transmitted to our servers.
B. Information Collected Automatically (Third-Party Services)
To ensure app stability, fix crashes, and improve performance, we integrate trusted third-party SDKs provided by Google Firebase:
- Google Firebase Analytics: Collects non-personally identifiable diagnostic and usage telemetry, such as app open events, screen views, feature interactions, device model, operating system version, and general regional location.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymized crash logs, system stack traces, and device state information at the time of an application crash to help us identify and fix technical issues promptly.
- Google Play In-App Update API: Queries Google Play services strictly to verify if a newer version of the App is available for installation.
02 Android Device Permissions Required
To deliver core application features, the App requests the following Android system permissions:

| VIBRATE | Provides subtle haptic feedback during breathing exercises and alarm ringing. |
| INTERNET | Enables Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics logging and fetching online audio streams or app updates. |
03 How We Use Your Information
We use the non-personal, anonymized data collected solely for the following legitimate purposes:
- App Functionality: To play ambient sounds, run sleep timers, process breathing exercises, and trigger scheduled alarms.
- Performance Monitoring & Debugging: To analyze crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics and resolve technical bugs.
- App Maintenance & Improvement: To understand aggregate usage trends via Firebase Analytics and enhance user experience.
05 Data Retention & Deletion
- Local Data: All custom saved mixes and app settings are stored locally on your device. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the App's cache/data in your Android System Settings or using the "Clear Cache" feature inside the App's Settings screen. Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all locally stored data.
- Anonymized Analytics Data: Retained by Google Firebase according to Google's standard retention schedules (typically up to 14 months) and cannot be linked back to an individual user identity.
06 Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
Our App is intended for a general audience seeking sleep aid, relaxation, and mindfulness. The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can take steps to remove such data.
07 Security of Your Information
We take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to protect your data. Locally stored information is protected by Android's application sandboxing architecture, and analytics data is transmitted securely via encrypted HTTPS/TLS channels to Google Firebase servers.
